SWAP TO STOP
To be eligible for the Swap to Stop scheme you must be a current smoker, aged 18 years or over and meet some medical requirements which can be discussed with your advisor.
Swap to Stop is a scheme delivered by Public Health to help reduce harm, illness and deaths caused by smoking. It works by providing you with a vape and vaping supplies over a 12-week period.
At SUIT, we have staff trained to support and deliver the Swap to Stop intervention:
Cody Jenkins (Data Illustrator), Jason Spreckley (Outreach Lead), and Fallon Burnett (Project Support Worker & Shared Care Lead).
The scheme has successfully supported over 100 people become smoke free.
